WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF IN SCHOOL?
Did your high school curriculum cover positive self-talk? What about mindfulness, meditation, and the connections between physical and mental health? Did you learn how to recognize abusive interpersonal dynamics? Healthy communication? Managing anxiety and perfectionism? Sexual exploration?
For many of us, "life skills" are something we pick up (or don't) through a combination of trial, error, and dumb luck, hopefully some time before we reach adulthood. But I've been teaching social-emotional skills for long enough to know that it's never too late to learn and grow through self-discovery.
My name is Haylin Belay. For over a decade, I've worked as a comprehensive health educator, pleasure-based sexuality expert, and trauma-informed yoga instructor, building a base of multidisciplinary knowledge about holistic wellness and embodied self-care. My offerings are based on years of professional experience, as well as my own personal healing journey, to create accessible, skills-based resources for adults who didn't have classes like these in middle/high school.
